Shooting Wounds Teen on South Whipple St Near 58th St in Chicago
A 17-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound around 4:50 a.m. Sunday morning in the block of 5800 South Whipple Street, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The teenager arrived at Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower back. Medical personnel initially listed him in stable condition.
Additional details were not initially available. Chicago Police Department detectives from Area One, are investigating this crime in the 8th District and Gage Park neighborhood.
