SUN AUG 30 2020 2:28 AM Chicago Police Department responding to a shooting at Polk Street and Spaulding Avenue in Chicago. Two police officers down and an offender down; call initially on Polk Street east of Homan Avenue. Deputy Director - News Affairs & Communications Tom Ahern confirmed at 2:50 AM that two Chicago Police Officers have been shot in the 11th Dist. Both transported to Stroger Hospital. Conditions unknown. Shots fired at about 2:31 AM.
Offenders had locked themselves in car with a firearm in the car during a traffic stop on Polk Street east of Homan Avenue.
