Stable Fire at Noble Horse Theatre on North New Orleans Near Sedgewick St and Schiller St Was Arson

Officials investigating a fire at the Noble Horse Theatre on Friday, February 6, 2015 have declared the fire arson.

More than a half dozen horse carriages valued as much as $15,000 to $17,000 were burned and destroyed at 1410 N. Orleans Street, Chicago.

Upon initial investigation, officials spotted graffiti on the building that indicated the fire may have been intentional. Spray painted messages found on the property were not noticed at closing time before the fire. The message declared "freedom" and "save the horses."

The FBI is now taking over the investigation

Firefighters responded to the fire call at 1400 block of North Sedgwick Street at about 1:10 a.m.  on Friday, Febraury 6, 2015.

No horses were injured in the fire.
