Naperville Woman Was Sentenced for Possessing Drug Paraphernalia, Not for Being Naked in Backseat

The original article title said "Woman found naked in car found guilty of possessing drug paraphernalia" but the updated title later said "Naperville woman found naked in car sentenced" ... Was she sentenced for being naked? No she was sentenced for possession of drug paraphernalia. Her boyfriend, who was also naked, was charged with possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Callea L. Plunkett, 22, pleaded guilty Monday in the DuPage County Circuit Court’s Wheaton Field Court to a Naperville municipal charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report of court records from the Naperville Sun. A second, companion count of possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana was dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea.

Naperville police on May 27, 2014 about 11:47 p.m. found Plunkett and her boyfriend, Daniel R. Lavigne, inside a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Douglas Avenue. the couple were found naked just outside the apartment where Plunkett lives.

According to the Naperville Sun, Plunkett has previously been found guilty of DUI in Downers Grove and Aurora from arrests that occurred in April 2011 and May 2013, respectively. Her boyfriend was previously arrested on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and the manufacture or delivery of 10-30 grams of marijuana during an arrest in Bolingbrook April 10, 2014. Lavigne was convicted of the marijuana charged but the controlled substance charge was dismissed.

The Naperville Sun posted Callea Plunkett's mug shot, but did not publish Daniel Lavigne's mug shot.
