Homicide, Person Shot - 11500 Block of S. LaSalle St. Police officers from the Chicago Police Department’s 5th District responded about 3:17 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2024 to a report of a shooting in the block of 11500 South LaSalle Street Chicago, located at the border of the West Pullman neighborhood and the West Roseland neighborhood. Preliminary investigation reveals that a 34-year-old male victim and a 59-year-old male victim were approached by at least one unknown offender. The offender produced a firearm and fired multiple shots in the direction of the victims. The 34-year-old male sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was transported by Chicago Fire Department paramedics to Christ Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The 59-year-old male also sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported by Chicago Fire Department paramedics to Christ Hospital, where he was initially listed in serious condition. Police officers from the Chicago Police Department’s 10th District on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at approximately 1:30 p.m.  responded to a report of a shooting in the block of 3900 West 21st Street Chicago. Preliminary reports indicate that a 19-year-old female victim was standing near the sidewalk when she was approached by multiple unknown male offenders. The offenders demanded her property, and one of the offenders produced a firearm, firing shots at the victim. The young woman sustained a gunshot wound to her torso. Following the shooting, the offenders fled westbound on foot, taking the victim’s property with them. The victim was promptly transported by Chicago Fire Department paramedics to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was initially listed in critical condition. Initially, no offenders are in custody.  A 17-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound around 4:50 a.m. Sunday morning in the block of 5800 South Whipple Street, according to the Chicago Police Department. The teenager arrived at Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower back. Medical personnel initially listed him in stable condition. Additional details were not initially available. Chicago Police Department detectives from Area One, are investigating this crime in the 8th District and Gage Park neighborhood. Initially, no suspects or motives indicated. McDonald's staff agreed to a refund, but this happened: Just moments after a customer spat at a female employee because she was “rude” this person proceeded to trash the drive-through area at McDonald’s, even though the restaurant’s staff had agreed to provide a refund and gave back their money as seen on the video.  Unknown date, but probably October, 2023. A mob beat and kicked a man, and left him at the curb, unconscious in the area of Dearborn Street, Van Buren Street, and Plymouth Court. A final kick to the side of the head and neck was the blow that caused him to lose consciousness. At least 14 subjects were in the vicinity of the victim. Multiple commenters reported the intersection is a trouble spot. Unverified comment states that single male refugees are housed near this area.
